The short version. Prank Box has no user accounts and no sign-in, and it never asks you for anything about yourself. Every prank runs offline, on your device.
Two things do leave your device. The first is anonymous usage and crash data, sent through Google Firebase so that faults can be found and fixed; it is not linked to your name or to any account of yours, it is never sold, and you can switch it off at any time in Settings → Data & privacy. The second is the request that fetches an advert, which the app makes to Google AdMob.
Everything else the app knows about you — your settings, your favourites — stays on your device.

com.phongvanhoa.prankbox on Android and iOS) and this website handle information. Prank Box
is an offline entertainment app: a collection of prank sound effects, sensor gags and simulated screens.
None of the ordinary kind. We do not collect, request, or receive your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, photos, microphone or camera input, or your device’s serial number.
What the analytics and crash-reporting services do receive is listed in the next section, and what the advertising service receives is listed in the one after it. Neither identifies you as a person to us: what we can see is counts and totals, never an individual.
The advertising identifier is the one exception worth naming. It is a resettable id that your device gives to apps that show ads. Google uses it to choose and measure adverts; we never receive it, and you can reset or switch it off in your device settings at any time.
Prank Box uses three Google Firebase services: Analytics (which screens get opened and which pranks get used), Crashlytics (a report when the app crashes) and Remote Config (fetches a small settings file so behaviour can be adjusted without shipping a new version). While sharing is switched on, they send:
Prank Box is free, and adverts are how it pays for itself. They are supplied by Google AdMob. To fill an ad slot, the Google Mobile Ads software in the app sends Google:
Ads appear in three places only: a banner strip at the bottom of the Home, Favourites and Settings screens; the same strip at the foot of the sound-only prank pages, which the person being pranked never looks at; and an occasional full-screen ad on the way back out of a prank. No screen that a prank is played on carries an ad, and nothing is ever shown over a prank that is running or waiting on a timer.
Where the law requires your permission first — the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and certain US states — you are asked before the first advert appears, through Google’s own consent form. You can change that answer at any time in Settings → Ads → “Ad privacy choices”. If you say no, adverts are still shown but are not personalised.
On iOS you may also see Apple’s “Ask App not to Track” prompt. Declining it changes nothing about how the app works; it only makes the adverts less specific to you.
You can also hide adverts for a while by choosing to watch a video, in Settings under Ads or from the “Hide ads” button on the Home screen. Nothing about that is automatic, and the app behaves identically either way.
You can remove adverts permanently with a one-time purchase, also in Settings under Ads. The purchase is made through Google Play or the App Store, which handle the payment: no card number, billing address or store account detail ever reaches the app. All the app keeps is a yes/no record that the purchase is owned, stored on your device so adverts stay off the next time you open it. If you reinstall the app or change phones, “Restore purchases” asks the store whether that account owns it. Refunds are handled by the store under its own terms.
Nothing you do inside Prank Box is used to target an advert. Nothing you type into the fake message screen, no prank you open, and no sensor reading is sent to the advertising service — it receives only the technical information listed above. The anonymous usage statistics described earlier are likewise never used to advertise to you: ad-personalisation signals are switched off in the app’s analytics configuration.

The app does not send anything you type into the fake message screen, any audio it plays or records (it records none), any camera or microphone input, any sensor readings, or anything about the other apps on your device — not to the analytics service, and not to the advertising service.
Google processes what is sent as our service provider, under the Firebase data processing terms, and stores it on its own servers. Analytics events are kept for the retention period set in the Firebase console, and crash reports for up to 90 days.
Sharing is on when you install the app, and you can turn it off at any time: Settings → Data & privacy → “Share usage data”.
Turning it off stops analytics and crash reporting immediately, and also deletes any crash report still queued on your device waiting to be uploaded. Nothing more is sent unless you turn it back on. No prank depends on it — the app behaves exactly the same either way.
The app reads this setting before it starts Firebase, so once it is off, nothing is collected on any later launch either.
This switch governs analytics and crash reporting. Advertising is separate, and is covered by section 4.
Prank Box saves a small number of preferences using your device’s standard app-storage mechanism (SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your device and is not readable by us or by anyone else:
Solely to make the app behave the way you configured it the next time you open it. Nothing stored on your device is uploaded, profiled, or used for advertising.
The usage data described above is used only to decide what to fix and what to build next — which pranks are worth improving, which screens people never reach, which devices crash. It is read in aggregate; it is never used to build a profile of you, and never used to target advertising.
You can erase all of it at any time by clearing the app’s storage in your device settings, or by uninstalling Prank Box. Uninstalling removes it permanently. See the Data Deletion page for the exact steps.
Some pranks react to how you move or cover the device. To do that, the app reads the accelerometer (motion) and, on devices that have one, the proximity sensor (whether something is close to the screen). Neither of these requires a permission on Android or iOS.
These readings are used only in the moment, inside the running prank, to decide when to trigger an effect. They are never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.
Some pranks can also blink the camera flash LED as a light effect. Only the light itself is used: the app never opens the camera, and no image or video is ever captured, stored, or transmitted. Flash effects can be switched off entirely in Settings.
Prank Box declares five Android permissions and no more.

Prank Box contains no social network integration and no tracking libraries beyond the Google services named in this policy. Nothing is ever sold to anyone.
The only third party involved is Google: Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Remote Config, and AdMob for advertising. Google acts as our processor for the analytics and crash data, and as an independent controller for advertising data. Its handling is governed by:
Prank Box is not directed to children under 13, is not part of Google Play’s Designed for Families programme, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The usage and crash data described above carries no name, no account, and no advertising identifier, and is never used for advertising — there is nothing in it that identifies a child, or any other user.
Adverts shown in the app are limited to a “PG” content rating, which excludes categories such as gambling, alcohol and adult content.
A parent or guardian who would rather nothing at all left the device can turn sharing off in Settings, under “Data & privacy”, and can refuse personalised advertising under Ads → “Ad privacy choices” where that control is offered.
A note for parents. Some pranks include loud sounds, sudden flashes, and scary imagery. Parents and guardians should decide whether the app is suitable for a particular child; scary pranks can be hidden entirely from the Settings screen.
Your settings are stored in the app’s private storage area, which the operating system isolates from other apps. They are never uploaded.
The usage and crash data that is uploaded travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and is held by Google on Firebase infrastructure. We operate no server or database of our own, so there is none of ours to breach.
This policy may be updated when the app changes. The revised version will be published with a new “last updated” date, both inside the app and on this page. Continuing to use Prank Box after an update means you accept the revised policy.
This website exists to publish these documents and information about the app. It sets no advertising cookies, loads nothing from a third party, and asks you for nothing. As with any web server, our hosting provider records standard request logs — IP address, browser type, date and time, and the page requested — used only to operate and secure the site.
Prank Box is an entertainment app. Every feature in it is a simulation produced with sound effects, on-screen graphics and vibration. Nothing in the app performs the real-world action it imitates — it does not place or receive real calls, detect lies, scan fingerprints, see through objects, damage your screen, repel insects, or produce electricity.
